This is Charlie a solid if not accidental member of our community. He was in the other day, like many other days and i asked him about the paint job on his bike. He was not entirely pleased with the job and after he showed me images of his furniture/sculpture i could see that his attention to detail was alot keener than mine. He oversees a design workshop behind us on Front street at M.I.T. and i suggested we would be able to work together on yet another project for the shop or at SUPERB. His work covers a wide range of materials and ideas but it's clear his graduate work at Mass. Art has served him well...keep riding and creating Charlie, the world is at your feet........

The Cambridge Bicycle Omnium Series returns for the 3rd year to the New England Velodrome & Cycling Park beginning this Tuesday and Wednesday night.

This week kicks off the first of a 3 part series which culminates with awards for the top three in each category. The Omnium will consist of 9 events spread over 3 weeks of racing. Points are awarded to the top 4 riders in each event. The top 3 riders per category, with the most points at the end of the series, will be the Omnium winners.

Their is also a raffle for a new track bike, but the only way to get in on the raffle is to score points. The good thing about this format is that you don't have to hit every event in order to have a chance at winning the new bike. All you need is a single point sometime over the series to be entered into the raffle!

Events this week include:
Points Race and Scratch Race (scored for Omnium points)
Miss & Out and 3 up Match Sprints
